“The other night, when many characters were out of their books enjoying a sojourn in the night air, a crime was committed, grim and grave, right in our own library! As a result, His Majesty Henry VIII – that famous monarch from the English history books – has disappeared…” Among the suspects are: Alice from Alice in Wonderland, Huck Finn from The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, Cinderella, Pinocchio, Snow White from Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, Peter Pan, Litter Red Riding Hood, Robin Hood, Goldilocks from Goldilocks and the Three Bears, and Aladdin from The Adventures of Aladdin. Think you can solve this mystery at the library?
Come and join us on Wednesday, May 10th @ 6:30 pm when the Pinckney Library hosts: “Who done it?” A Night of Murder and Mystery. This Library After Hours event is part of the county-wide “Livingston Reads!” program. All ages are welcome to participate. Prizes will be awarded, including one for Best Costume, so come dressed as your favorite sleuth! The grand prizes includes a Borders gift card, a “Death by Chocolate” gift basket from Pinckney’s Mainly Chocolate, and a copy of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time by Mark Haddon. Refreshments will be provided.
Please call the library at 734-878-3888 to register for this program.
